Havasupai Lodge info

The Havasupai Lodge is located in one of the most beautiful and remote corners of the Grand Canyon on the Havasupai Indian Reservation in Supai, Arizona. Supai is located in a southwestern branch of the Grand Canyon and is accessible only by foot, horseback or helicopter. The Havasupai reservation is noted for its beautiful blue- green waterfalls which attract thousands of visitors each year. For more information/reservations call (520) 448-2111.

Lodge accommodations include two queen beds, private bath and air-conditioning in each one of our 24 rooms.  In-room telephones, television, and roll away beds are not available. A $40 (Apr. 1-Oct. 31) and $25 (Nov. 1- Mar. 31) deposit per room per night is required. The Lodge accepts Visa, Master Card and travelers checks. No personal checks. Meals are available at the Tribal Cafe which is located a short distance walk from the lodge.  Additional food and supplies can be purchased at the general store. The store and cafe accept only cash and travelers checks.

Saddle (riding) and pack horses are available for transportation into Supai (to the Lodge) and out to Hualapai Hilltop (the trail head). Saddle and pack horse reservations require a $40 deposit per animal. Riding time is approximately 3-4 hours. Saddle horse limitations include 200 lbs. maximum body weight; riders are limited to carry on only small day packs for water, snacks, and camera (10 lbs. max.); additional packs or supplies require a pack horse rental. Long pants. large-brimmed hats, and minimal horse back riding experience is recommended.  Pack horse limitations 4 duffel bags or backpacks per horse; 130 lbs. maximum weight There is a fee for dry run (no show).

Havasu Falls Day Tours are guided horseback tours to and from Havasu Falls that are exclusively available for Lodge guests. Weight limitations are the same as for saddle horses. Tours depart from the Lodge between 900 and 1100 AM and return by 500 PM. Arrangements for Day Tours must be made by 400 PM at least one day in advance.  No deposit is required.

Private Horse Trail Fees are assessed for privately owned horses or mules used by visitors on Havasupai Reservation trails. Horse feed and stabling are not available at the Lodge.

Helicopter services are available into Supai and out to Hualapai Hilltop on most Fridays and Sundays of each week. These privately-owned services are provided by Airwest Helicopters of Arizona by authorization of the Havasupai Tribe. For more information call (602) 516-2790. Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters are authorized by the Havasupai Tribe to provide special charter services into Supai from the Grand Canyon Airport.
